To help you with research questions, PCI has partnered with LIRN (Library and Information Resources Network) to provide web access to a virtual library of materials. LIRN is available to PCI students 24/7 so you can work when it is convenient.
GVRL, voted by Library Journal as the Best Overall Database for 2012, is a collection of virtual reference books in a wide range of topics from arts to technology. LIRN's GVRL collection includes over 2,045 titles. Students can view, print, download and listen to audios.
Academic OneFile is a premier resource for peer-reviewed, full-text journals and reference sources. Academic OneFile is a 2009 and 2008 CODiE Award Finalist for Best Online General Reference Service. The database includes 14,000 titles.
The eLibrary provides full-text access to articles and transcripts from more than 2,492 magazines, newspapers, books, radio & TV program transcripts along with access to more than 250,000+ photographs and maps and so much more. It also contains a Reference Desk with dictionaries, a thesaurus, encyclopedias and more.
